Summary: Working closely with the Senior TD employees, this role is responsible for ensuring that shots are progressing efficiently and successfully through the digital production pipeline.

Responsibilities:
* Works closely with the Production team to load retrieve and backup images and other files to/from digital tape, and converts files from one format/resolution to another.
* Will be responsible for juggling of data files
* Responsible for learning the Animation production pipeline so as to assist the Lead Technical Director in the efficient progression of shots through the production pipeline
* Responsible for quality checking, file maintenance, color calibration of monitors, cleaning-up of directories and setting-up shots, for all departments.
* When required, may run turntables and assist with other aspects of the artistic components of the production pipeline.
* Responsible for maintaining and updating department software. Works closely with our Software Engineering team to ensure that code is clean and well maintained.
* Additional technical and/or administrative projects as may be assigned.
Education, Experience and Skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
* Aesthetic eye and/or artistic background highly desired.
* Proven knowledge of and experience with Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems.
* 1-2 years professional experience programming (i.e. C/C++) and scripting language experience (i.e. Python, Perl) a must.
* Knowledge of, and experience with, 3D modeling/animation software (i.e. Maya) highly desired.
* Database knowledge preferred (i.e. Oracle).
* Familiarity with film, video and animation post-production and/or computer graphics techniques highly desired.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively interact with diverse personalities.
* Strong time management skills; Ability to multitask and prioritize.
* Proven ability to work autonomously and in team settings.
* Highly motivated. Career focus for the animation industry.
* This position will be based out of Big Rock Ranch in Marin County three days a week and the Letterman Digital Arts Center in San Francisco two days a week.
This position requires you to submit a reel of your work by mail. In addition, you must submit your information online.
Guidelines for submitting a reel:
* A completed submission release form is required for all portfolio submissions. We will not review your work until we receive your release form. Please download this Submission Release Form, complete and sign, then mail to the address below.
* When submitting your portfolio/reel, please do not include originals as we are unable to return the materials you submit.
* Reels should be on DVD, NTSC format - no Beta, VHS, 3/4" or CDs, please.
* Please include a shot breakdown explaining what you did on your reel and what software (if applicable) was used to achieve the effects. The length of your reel should be limited to 3 minutes and consist of work that best exemplifies your abilities, starting with your most recent work. Music is not necessary.

Lucasfilm Singapore currently employs over 100 artists consisting of Concept Artists, Layout Artists, Game Designers, Game Engineers, Game Artists, as well as Character Animators and Digital Artists engaged in Modeling, Texturing, Rigging, Lighting, Painting, Compositing and Rendering to focus on work for Industrial Light and Magic, Lucasfilm Animation US, and LucasArts creating visual effects for Film, Animation for TV, and a Handheld game.
Current and upcoming projects include our 3D Animated Clone Wars Episodic TV Series and early development on our yet to be titled first 3D Animated Digital Feature, and a yet to be titled Handheld Game.
