WHY WE NEED YOU
We take great pride in our work and love our pixels. We are in need of a talented junior web designer to join our creative, Adelaide based web team. You will be working on our various digital art and community websites. This position offers you a fantastic working environment where you will have the opportunity to learn and produce high quality work.

KEY DUTIES
• Create new, fresh designs for weekly editorial items.
• Design & create visual concepts to fulfill the design brief for site additions / upgrades.
• Perform maintenance, updates and error fixes to existing websites.
• Design, create and code (in conjunction with web development personnel) special purpose
online events.
• Design and create online advertising.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You love web design and visual media! You are enthusiastic, creative and ready to work. You have a precise eye for detail and an absolute commitment to quality and excellence of design. You have a good understanding of contemporary design theory, what works on the web and you love your typography! You are a good self manager, can accept input & constructive criticism and can work in a team environment. You have lots to offer and want to contribute to our company culture.

You will work closely with the lead designer and IT Manager to design and create cutting edge interactive concepts. You will also have a great attitude, positive work ethic and passion for all things digital and have outstanding examples of your design skills.

To be considered for this position you will be an Australian resident, have an eye for detail and at least one year's experience working commercially in a web development field.

You will also have:

* Excellent knowledge of Adobe CS3 design suite.
* Excellent attention to fine details.
* A genuine passion for designing beautiful, polished interfaces that have the 'wow' factor.
* Good knowledge of modern web standards (html/css), JavaScript libraries and AJAX.


You will receive extra brownie points if you:

* Have experience writing good copy. We value writing skills highly at Ballistic.
* Have a great sense of humour.
